Job Description

As the Regional Labor Relations Manager you will be responsible for providing technical partnership and expertise to stakeholders on labor relations matters, programs, and activities of the organization and its brands in the Philippines. You will be responsible for developing appropriate company-wide LR interventions aligned and anchored on the overall direction to support business objectives and compliance with laws and regulations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drives and sustains an effective and collaborative working relationship with internal stakeholders to efficiently validate information on issues and provide inputs to labor relations program prior to implementation.
  • Leads the periodic review of the organization's labor relations policies and programs. Gather inputs and feedbacks to ensure policies are relevant and compliant with labor laws and regulations. Recommend revision and improvements to the policies and programs, if necessary.
  • Partners with different stakeholders to ensure the development of effective communications regarding organization-wide labor relations strategies to ensure successful implementation.
  • Acts as technical advisor and consultant to departments and business units as well as other stakeholders in the assessment of different company business, service contractor management activities and/or government initiatives to ensure consistent interpretation, application, and compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Provides consultative support to HR Business Partners in the management of collective bargaining agreement including but not limited to strategy alignment, package review, and interpretation of key provisions.
  • Partners with HR Business Partners to resolve complex and sensitive disciplinary cases involving the same level and up, with significant legal implications. Provides advice to line managers in handling disciplinary cases.
  • Represents the organization on significant issues, arbitrations, or hearings filed with NLRC/DOLE.
  • Monitors labor law compliance of all departments and business units within the organization. Coordinates with Business Unit HR Representatives to ensure preparedness and adherence to labor law requirements.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in labor relations, preferably in a multinational corporation or fast-food industry.
  • Preferably with experience working with unions and dealing/handling Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBA).
  • Strong knowledge of Philippine labor laws, regulations, and practices.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Willing to work on a dayshift hybrid set-up in Ortigas, Pasig.
