Job Description

As part of our expanding Product and Development teams, the QA Engineer role will work closely with the Engineering, and Product teams to perform quality assurance procedures, testing, and reviews of our software systems. You will be responsible for the creation, execution, and maintenance of test cases and scripts to ensure high-quality releases for our web and mobile applications. You will collaborate across teams to improve product quality, participate in sprint grooming, and support release planning and execution.

What you'll be doing:

  • Manual & Automated Testing
    • Create, maintain, and execute Geo’s manual regression test scripts.
    • Create, maintain, and execute automated regression test scripts using tools such as Selenium, Appium, Mocha, and WebdriverIO.
    • Create and execute functional test cases for new and existing features.
    • Develop and execute end-to-end test cases for Geo applications.
    • Perform load and performance testing using JMeter and Postman.
  • Testing and Collaboration
    • Participate in sprint grooming sessions, contributing to test case creation and improvements.
    • Analyze and plan testing efforts for weekly releases across web based and mobile app updates.
    • Collaborate with the Technology team (DevOps, Product, Development) to ensure the successful delivery of projects, providing testing insights and improvements.
  • Continuous Improvement 
    • Contribute to the enhancement of the application based on insights gained through testing, improving the product’s stability and performance.
    • Actively contribute to the development of test plans, covering all aspects of the product, and ensure test coverage is comprehensive.
  • Collaboration & Communication
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product, Development, and DevOps, to ensure quality at every stage of the product lifecycle.
    • Provide clear and concise bug reports and maintain test documentation in Confluence.
    • Contribute to the ongoing improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
  • Tech Stack:

Qualification and requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a Quality Assurance role, preferably with experience in web and mobile application testing.
  • Strong hands-on experience with manual and automated testing of web and mobile applications (iOS, Android).
  • Familiarity with API testing and concepts, using tools like Postman and JMeter.
  • Knowledge of Selenium, Appium, Mocha, WebdriverIO, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) tools like GitHub Actions.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working in an Agile development environment.
  • Experience working with test management tools like Testlink and issue tracking systems like JIRA.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or a relevant field
