Essential Functions and Duties:

Outbound Collection Activities

  • Initiate timely and professional outbound calls, voicemails, and SMS to inform them about dishonored payments and the outstanding amount.

  • Clearly explain the reason for the dishonor (e.g., insufficient funds, account closed, stop payment).

  • Proactively follow up on promised payments and payment arrangements.

  • Utilize skip-tracing techniques (within legal and ethical bounds) to locate customers with outdated contact information.

  • Prioritize accounts based on delinquency level and potential for recovery

 

Inbound Collection Activities:

  • Answer incoming calls from customers regarding dishonored payments, payment inquiries, or disputes.

  • Listen attentively to customer concerns, empathize with their situations, and provide accurate information.

  • Resolve customer issues related to dishonored payments, billing discrepancies, or account status.

  • Guide customers through the process of re-submitting payments or setting up alternative payment methods.

 

Educational Attainment:

  • Australian year 12 equivalent – Philippine’s equivalent in a related field of study or demonstrated business experience;

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field is a strong advantage.

 

Work Experience Requirement:

  • At least 6 months of proven experience in a collection role, preferably within a banking, finance, telecommunications, or BPO environment in the Philippines

  • Demonstrated experience handling both inbound and outbound calls is highly preferred.

  • Experience specifically with dishonored checks or failed payment collections is a significant plus.
