Job Summary: Technical Assistant plays a vital role in providing technical support and assistance to the Technical Repair Head and responsible for performing clerical functions including filing, composing emails, printing documents, and inventory of repair parts.
Duties and Responsibilities:
a. Receive or frequently pick up unit from client and issue transmittal document with
corresponding unit model, serial number and accessories included.
b. Assess for repair units and take pictures of faulty part as proof to client.
c. Make a checklist of procedures that needs to be done including parts to be replaced.
d. Provide an Assessment Summary Report to client that includes company information,
unit details, repair procedures, faults found, parts to be replaced, and picture proof of
faulty.
e. Produce a proposal for client with labor and faulty parts.
f. Receive Purchase Order and have it checked if amount reflected is the same as quoted.
g. Repair units and provide necessary documents (Delivery Receipt, Repair Summary
Report, Splice Test Report, Purchase Order)
h. Schedule the pickup or delivery of the repaired units.
i. Frequently deliver unit to client and test upon request.
j. Follow up overdue repair payments.
k. Update all the parts used from time to time to ensure the inventory of the parts.
l. Generate the excel file to make list of low in stock parts to be replenished.
m. Receive mails, Invoice, SOA (Statement of Account) etc. and forward to respective
recipients.
n. Attend to the needs and request of Superiors especially with regards to repair.
o. Monitor all units that are due for calibration.
p. Ensure software of all purchased units are updated to latest before the delivery
schedule and put necessary stickers for warranty purposes.
q. Keep the repair documents complete for transparency.
r. Provide necessary documents of the repaired units to finance officer for Billing/Invoice
issuance.
s. Printing and Filing documents.
t. Composing emails.
