Job Description

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing and coordinating the start to end bookkeeping process, general accounting activities, and financial reporting. This role requires analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing.
• Ensure accurate booking and reconciliation of Deferrals/Prepayments and Accruals as per schedules.
• Manage accounts payables and receivables.
• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of periodic financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
• Prepare special reports as requested by management/clients.
• Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile transactions.
• Prepare monthly payroll and employee final settlements.
• Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and periodic forecasts, when required.
• Conduct periodic financial analysis and critical reviews.
• Monitor inventory levels and manage stock depreciation, where required.
• Ensure compliance with VAT regulations and maintain related records.
• Manage bank correspondences and reconciliations.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in accounting operations, policies, and procedures.
• Utilize existing IT platforms optimally and participate in the implementation of new systems/processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2-3 years of experience in a similar role.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, Xero, Odoo etc).
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and UAE VAT/CT laws is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in financial analysis and management reporting.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Qualification Required

• College Graduate
