Job Description

• This role requires a deep understanding of food industry standards, compliance, and cost management.
• Lead and manage the Accounts Payable team, including training, mentoring, and performance management.
• Oversee the processing of invoices, payment runs, and expense reports.
• Ensure timely and accurate payments to vendors, suppliers, and other third parties.
• Review and approve large or complex invoices and payment requests.
• Reconcile AP sub-ledger to the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, ensuring clear communication regarding payment terms and schedules.
• Resolve any vendor disputes or discrepancies in a timely and professional manner.
• Negotiate favorable terms with vendors to improve cash flow and cost management.\
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies, particularly those specific to the food industry.
• Prepare and present regular reports on AP metrics, including aging reports, payment trends, and cost-saving opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Lead or participate in cross-functional projects aimed at improving financial processes and systems.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of AP operations.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• With 3 to 5 years of experience in Accounts Payable
• With at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Previous experience in the food industry is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of AP processes, financial regulations, and industry-specific compliance requirements.
