Job Description

As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will: Receive, validate, log, and manage vendor invoices Scan official receipts, delivery receipts, and sales invoices Reconcile vendor statements and correct discrepancies Handle manual check payment processing Validate and deposit Food Forward collections Deposit urgent payments to the bank as needed Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment Update and maintain accurate records in the invoice tracker to collate data for reporting and monitoring purposes Ensure accuracy of GL codes assigned to each transaction Ensure tax and statutory compliance for vendor payments Prepare monthly accrual reports for assigned vendor accounts Handles vendor and requester inquiries Assist in providing documentation during audits or as needed Ensure that internal controls are properly implemented and observed Assist in the validation of supplier requirements in Procurement’s vendor accreditation process Support the periodic closing of Accounts Payable module as necessary Do you have what it takes to become an Accounts Payable Specialist? Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree Graduate in Accountancy, Finance Management, or other related courses With at least one year of accounts payable experience Must have Oracle AP system experience or any automated AP system Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Good organizational skills, with the ability to effectively handle tasks with a high volume of information Good written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with stakeholders. Good customer service skills
